Pastor: The Rev. Roy W. Hall served the congregation as pastor from 1981-1994 and again from 2002 to the present. A life-long Cumberland Presbyterian, he received BA and MA degrees from Samford University in Birmingham; the M.Div. degree from Memphis Theological Seminary; and a Doctor of Ministry degree from The University of the South (Sewanee). Pastor Roy is married to Linda. They have two sons, Matt (wife, Monica) and Mark. And three grandchildren: Eston, Addison, and Rose. Pastor Roy is an avid reader, trout fisherman, golfer, and grandchild enthusiast. He has a fabulous collection of baseball cards from the 1950s and 60s. His favorite popular singer is the Irishman, Van Morrison. His central passion is the study of Scripture and the way Jesus and his Gospel illuminates the authentic meaning and possibilities of life.
Director of Discipleship: Rachel Cook is a native of Jackson County She graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1989 with a degree in Social Work with minors in Sociology and English. She practiced Social Work in the Mental Health and Public Health Fields for 18 years. She began working as Director of Discipleship for Scottsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church in November 2007. She spends her spare time with her twin daughters, Mary and Lydia.
Administrative Assistant: Jane Radon, wife of Richard, resident of Scottsboro since 1970 (moving from Ohio), member of Scottsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, has worked for the church since 1989. She is mother of a son Stacy and daughter Taren, and grandmother of Alexis, Megan and Will. She enjoys gardening and sewing.
Choir Director/Accompanist: Nora Huntoon Inglis has enjoyed holding this position since November, 2002. She has a BA degree from Samford University and many years experience in church music. She has also taught hundreds of piano students through the years. Nora has one son, Mark (wife, Susan), and three adorable granddaughters: Zoe, Kaitlyn and Mira. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dabbling in art, and listening to many types of music; her favorites are sacred and classical.
